The Funding Forum trainings are the “teach them to fish” philosophy in action. In the workshop, participants are led step by step through the process of writing project management plans and/or funding proposals for actual projects.

Tibetan Grandmother

"I learned more in the first day of this seminar then I did in all the other seminars I have ever attended in my life put together, and that is no exaggeration. This seminar is like an educational boot camp- the information that the facilitators have in their heads and in their manual (which is a course in itself) would be overwhelming if they weren't so focused, friendly, clear and relaxed in the presentation of it all. Every hour built on the hour before, and I found that I went out the door at night shaking my head, not because I couldn't understand what was going on, but because for the first time I could. I was completely taken aback at the amount of one-on-one attention that I was given in this workshop- I had a hundred questions and they had answers for all of them, and led me through every snafu. My kudos to them."

This technical training seminar turns the corner on the attitude of “There is not enough money out there to do good work,” and teaches:

    • The specific skills needed to create solid and compelling proposals for funding.

    • The skills of writing the Query Letter and Two Page Proposal Letter--two vehicles for gaining funder interest that are essential as part of a solid funding strategy.

    • The foundation of solid project development--from vision to specifics for implementation.

    • The process of locating appropriate funders, starting with local resources and continuing to funders at state, regional and federal levels as well as international funding possibilities.
